20th annual HrOUG conference from 13 -16. October 2015. in Rovinj

  • 18 October , 2015 / NJAKOVLJEVIC

Due to the exceptional interest of speakers, users and developers for Oracle Application Express (APEX) this year HrOUG formed a special unit of the conference dedicated to APEX. The figures speak for themselves - 16 events, 10 speakers, 3 Oracle ACE Director. One reason for the increased interest lies in the APEX version 5, which came out this year, bringing major changes. BiLog was represented by Dario Bilić, Marko Gorički, Daniel Huha, Mario Jozak, Boris Milošević and Ksenija Poljak.

Boris Milošević delivered a lecture on disaster recovery solutions.

Marko Gorički presented ever more popular JSON format and its use in making APEX applications.

The interest for the hands-on workshop led by Daniel Huha supported by Ksenija Poljak was much over the planned capacity of 20 people so the organizers had to add extra workshops to the schedule. The topic was simple APEX applications made for just 120 minutes. A great interest in the workshops of its kind obliges us to commit to continue organizing APEX educational events and provide advanced forms of APEX education.

APEX part of the conference was closed with a round table on topic “APEX today and tomorrow” moderated by Dario Bilić. Active participation of 10 speakers and more than 75 participants significantly contributed to the discussion and clarified a number of issues on the present and future of Oracle APEX. As a basis for opening discussions served and a survey conducted by the organizers prepared before the conference, with special focus on the future of the tool and its positioning within Oracle.
